EOUST is a part of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). EOUST does not endorse organizations, but rather oversees, protects and preserves the integrity of the bankruptcy system of the United States. Since 2005, Consumer Debt Counselors has been annually approved as a bankruptcy education and counseling agency for judicial districts in the states of Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, New York and Washington.
Consumer Debt Counselors became an approved member of the NFCC in 2007. The NFCC is the nation’s largest umbrella association financial counseling organizations, including more than 700 community-based offices located in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. NFCC member agencies provide financial counseling and education to millions of consumers each year in person, over the phone or online. In order to qualify for membership, agencies must become accredited through the Council on Accreditation. Accreditations are highly prized among non-profit agencies and institutions.
The National Industry Standards for Homeownership Education and Counseling are a set of guidelines for quality homeownership and counseling services. Industry professionals who adopt these standards can be trusted to provide consistent, high quality advice.
Since 2012, Consumer Debt Counselors has met HUD’s strict requirements to be a HUD-certified counseling agency in the state of Florida. Our counselors work with individuals and families to assist them with a variety of housing challenges, from pre-purchase counseling to mortgage modification and foreclosure education / assistance.
