Many nonprofits in the health and wellness sector address patients’ medical and care needs—but often stop short when it comes to the financial side of things. Social workers may not always be equipped to provide deep financial education or coaching.

Medical Cost Counseling helps families dealing with chronic and terminal illness to better manage the financial impact, and to navigate complex systems like Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Veteran Administration benefits, and private health insurance. We work with families affected by Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, cancer, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS / Lou Gehrig’s disease), Parkinson’s disease, and frailty.
